Clubhouse makeover

Working Bee / Social Occasion

At long last, the very tired lino on the club house floor is being replaced. There was some damage from water a short while ago which has inspired the decision to go ahead with replacing it now.

This will be done this coming weekend on Saturday 23rd July as there is no possibility of flying due to further rain on the airstrip. If necessary the work can flow over to Sunday 24th July, but we hope to have it completed this weekend.

We will be installing a floating floor which will look much better and be more hard wearing and resistant to dirt and damage than the lino.

This will be done this coming weekend on Saturday 23rd July as there is no possibility of flying due to further rain on the airstrip.

We will be doing the installation work ourselves in order to save a substantial charge for a professional installer.

On the Saturday there will be a lunchtime barbecue for participants sausages, bread, butter and some salad will be provided for participants, If it flows on to Sunday, we could do the same.

We request members who have the time to come and help. Bring some appropriate tools if you have any suitable ones.

eg.

* Radial arm saw

* Circular saw

* Tape measure

* Triton work bench with circular saw

* Rubber mallet

* Claw hammer

* Angle grinder

* anything else you might think useful.

Please RSVP in the events web page and note the tools you are bringing in the comments
